School Holidays During Term Time
The Government has amended regulations for taking holidays in term time and these regulations have been in effect from September 2013.
Headteachers have the discretion to grant leave. This is unlikely and should only do so in exceptional circumstances. If a headteacher grants a leave request it will be for them to determine the length of time that the child can be away from school.
You can fill in a "Leave of absence form" at the school office.
Parents and carers are reminded that term time holidays taken without permission may result in the issuing of a Fixed Penalty Notice by the Local Authority of up to £160 per child from September 2024.
